Changing my perspective -

Perspective is something I have really been working on recently. I have realized that my mood changes depending on others... So if someone around me is not having a good day then I start to not have a good day. I would like to say I have been working on correcting this but I haven't, I have been more aware when it starts to happen but I have not figured out how to start changing this.

Although this week I got the opportunity to go camping with my friend (just my friend and I so basically alone which was a new experience!) and although there were points when we regraded our decision I tried to keep a positive mindset the whole time! We basically stayed in the tent for most of the time only going out when the rain slowed but it was basically raining the whole time. Even though it was raining it was nice to spend time with my friend.

I also try to improve others emotions more often then I realize, like say at kung fu in both the kids and adult classes I try and go around to each person and try to see where they are at and if they are feeling good or not. This helps me decide what to correct on that person. Say if they are going through a really hard time recently I will lay back on the corrections because they have a lot on their plate and I will try to give them more positive encouragement. I find when this happens to me I am more excited to go to kung fu and learn because I will find it more of a positive place and be more open to learn.
