Lion -

This week at IHC open practice I was practicing my lion dancing as well as helping Sihing Burke with the lion. I have been thinking a lot about how I can improve my lion dancing and I am trying now by adding really defined and sharp snaps in the head. I have also been trying to work on expansion in everything so in the lion I have been trying when I do the wave to try and snap(I don't know what or how to do this yet) as well as hit the timing of when I'm in the air with when I hit the apex of my height with the lion. With the feedback I got I seem to be on the right track on this.

When working with Sihing I really had to think about how I did the throwing of the lettuce and it made me think about how I'm actually doing it. Because since now I haven't really thought of what I actually do I sort of just do it? I don't know if that makes sense. So I think that in that it was really good for me because I got to think about how I'm doing it as well as how I'm feeling it internally. This something I really like about teaching/helping people because you have to look and analyze what your actually doing to be able to answer their questions as well as be able to explain it.
