Feeling the rotation -
Feeling the rotation. This is something that I found needed to be enhanced during board breaking.
As for a palm heel, I needed to think of the rotation through my elbow to get the right timing and snap. Thinking this was really helped me take a step back all look at the rest of my techniques. Having to find where the rotation needed to be for it to work for me. Have to break it down well keeping it together. And keeping the flow of getting to the end point of the technique. As well as the release of power at the end. There is just so much to think about at once! I find it overwhelming at times but for the most part it’s extremely cool and helps me be able to focus my mind on one singular thing.
Say a simple punch. You have to think about the rotation at the end. But when you take a step back to think about it, it opens a whole new world! As your core tightens and the punch launches off your hip, and as you get close to the end of the punch and start to rotate, corkscrewing down your arm and then finally finishing the rotation at the same time as you get the the end of how far you're going(which has to be a specific distance) all done in a matter of seconds. As well as having to time the releases of power and energy into the punch. It’s incredible!
