small intents
The small motion of the elbow. When I practice a technique or application I tend to focus on the part of my hand I'm hitting with or with my wrist driving threw/forward. I notice this the most in tai chi, where my wrist is the main driver. As in its what leads my arms. But there are certain techniques that involve the elbow. By switching my focus on my elbow rather then my wrists it changes the move drastically(or at least I find so). Although I find this messes me up sometimes when I hyper fixate on my elbow. But its also just something interesting to think about. How with even the smallest shift in intent can change something drastically.
Another one that I find changes with intent is the last few moves in Lao gar. With the check, then to a cat-stance. I don't know if you'll know what section I'm talking about. But I find I imagen my energy flowing in a straight line. As I am moving straight threw instead of thinking of spinning as I turn my hips. This helps me make sure I don't over rotate.
