Tai chi

This past week I got the opportunity to come to tai chi in person (the week before I was just online). But being able to come back was so much fun. I have missed the beginning of the start of two and the ending of one, because of school and work and just some personal stuff I had been struggling with. Being able to come to tai chi again showed me how much I was missing. Almost immediately I found I had a LOT of questions and clarifications. I was only able to ask 3 of my questions but with those questions I was able to start to understand and work on the start of 2. (Two is my favorite so I'm sad that I didn't join right at the beginning...) I'm going to make more of an effort to make those tai chi classes as they provide so much value to me.

One of the questions I asked at class was I was feeling like I was coming into my shoulder and how do I get around doing that. I don't know exactly what the move is called but its from the temple punch into the backfist, vertical punch. For the vertical punch I was coming into my shoulders and it didn't feel the best. I asked sehing burke how she was doing it and eventually asked Sifu, which lead to the talk of how I need to turn my body more. Like let it release. Which seems like I should have known that but its just the slightest turn and releasing the hand more. As well my target was in the wrong place. I was originally aiming for the throat area where I should have been a bit lower.

Over all it was a great class and showed me how I have to keep pursuing what I want to achieve. And I'm going to try and write my questions down so I don't forget them!!
